Our programs provides a “whole child” curriculum approach to education; the curriculum develops a student’s sense of community and love of learning driven by their innate desire to understand and explain the world around them. The primary goal of our Montessori program is to help each child reach their full potential in all areas of life. Activities promote the development of social skills, emotional growth and physical coordination as well as cognitive preparation for future intellectual academic endeavors. The holistic curriculum, under the direction of a specifically prepared teacher, allows the child to experience the joy of learning, the time to enjoy the process and ensures the development of self esteem. It provides the experiences from which children create their knowledge.
At Little Gems Montessori, we challenge students not only to master skills, but to regularly apply them in daily life as part of a larger whole. As a result, our students attain proficiency in an astounding range of concepts in great depth.
Programs Offered at Little gems Montessori Academy:
- Infant Care (6 weeks to 18 months)
- Toddler Montessori (ages 18 months to 3 years)
- Primary Montessori (ages 3-6 years)
Each program builds on the one before it, providing challenges appropriate to both age and skill levels. Language, mathematics, spatial learning, self-discovery, music, and art are all incorporated into our approach. In addition, the extended care and after-school activities offered helps to enhance the learning, and our summer program continues Montessori learning during the summer.
